CHECKMATE는 상업적으로 성공을 거두었으며 발매 첫 주에 700,000장을 판매하며 대한민국의 [[써클 앨범 차트]]에서 1위로 데뷔했다. 이는 이 차트에서 ITZY의 4번째 1위 기록이며 오늘날까지 가장 많이 판매된 음반이기도 하다. [[빌보드 200]]에 8위로 데뷔하며 미국에서 ITZY의 첫 톱 10 음반이 되었다.
