데니고모두(언어 오류(na): Denigomodu)는 나우루의 구로, 나우루의 서부에 위치해 있다. 나우루에서 가장 인구가 많은 구이다.

데니고모두구에는 외국인 거주 단지인 더 로케이션(The Location)이 있다.[1] 이로 더 로케이션은 인해 나우루에서 가장 인구가 많은 정착지가 되었다. 2021년 현재, 나우루 인구의 16% (약 1,900명)가 데니고모두구에 거주한다.[2]

지리

우베니데 선거구의 일부인 데니고모두구는 1.18km2의 면적을 차지하며, 인구는 1,874명으로,[2] 나우루의 14개 구 중 가장 인구가 많다.

경제

데니고모두구는 관광 산업에 크게 의존하고 있다. 야렌구와 비교하여 상대적으로 부유하고 규모가 큼에도 불구하고, 데니고모두구는 나우루의 중심 도시로 간주되지 않는다.

의료

나우루의 유일한 병원인 나우루 공화국 병원이 위치해 있다. 1999년 국영 나우루 종합병원과 나우루 인산염공사 병원이 합병하며 설립되었다.

교육

나우루 칼리지는 1993년 8월에 합의된 호주와 나우루 간의 재활 및 개발 협력 협정의 일환으로 2000년 1월 데니고모두 학교가 개교했다. 이 협정의 일환으로 양국 정부는 1999년 3월에 나우루 컬리지를 건설하기로 결정했다.[3] 데니고모두 학교는 본래 초등학교였지만, 나우루의 어린이들이 장학금을 받기 위해 경쟁하면서 1학년 과정이 있는 중학교로 전환되었다.[4]

더 로케이션의 외국인 자녀들은 2002년 4월 기준으로 1-8학년을 대상으로 하는 더 로케이션 학교에 다닌다.[5] 이 학교는 더 로케이션 정착촌 내에 있다.[6] 더 로케이션 학교는 나우루에서 유일하게 영어가 아닌 언어로 교육하는 학교이다.[7]
